This week our Sustainability Team welcomed two new starters into the growing team.

The Sustainability Team was formed to centralise our commitment to compliance for our own business and that of our customers. The team is committed to supporting all organisations in meeting ambitious net zero targets, helping to ensure that sustainability and the environment is embedded into every business decision they make.

Speaking of the appointments, Briar's Head of Sustainability, Bryan McAlpine, said: "We are delighted to welcome Jayke and Ahmed to the team this week, strengthening and increasing the capacity to meet the project demand for our products and services. We are focussed on helping customers plan towards Net Zero and satisfying mandatory schemes, such as SECR and ESOS, and our specialist team are ready to talk about our measure, prepare and deliver strategy, decarbonising customers' estates and setting a structure towards a greener future."

Ahmed Ali, Energy & Carbon Analyst, said: "My first few days here at Briar have been really good. I have been really welcomed by everyone in the team and I am looking forward to how we all work together in the future."

Jayke Stevens, Junior Energy & Carbon Analyst, said: "Everything so far has been very informative and explained a way that is easily understood. The team are very nice and welcoming and will always help if I have any questions. I very much look forward in continuing to develop in the future and working here will definitely help me do so."
